HALMA is a joint research unit with the University of Lille, the CNRS and the Ministry of Culture and the National Institute of Archaeological Research. It is one of the French reference centers in the field of Ancient Sciences. This unit, composed of over 220 members, is a multidisciplinary team that closely associates archaeologists, historians, philologists and more generally specialists in ancient cultures. Oueslati’s research focuses on antropophilic fauna from archaeological excavations between the Neolithic and contemporary periods, but more particularly on urban contexts from the Roman period. His laboratory is equipped with an osteotheque.
